Description
The original line of GOLDEN Artist Acrylics is known for its exceptionally smooth, thick buttery consistency. It contains the largest assortment of unique pure pigments in a 100 percent acrylic emulsion vehicle available to the professional artist. These colors offer excellent permanency and light-fastness. There are no fillers, extenders, opacifiers, toners, or dyes added.
Each Heavy Body color is formulated differently depending on the nature of the pigment. Colors that tolerate higher pigment “loads” dry to a more opaque, matte finish. Colors that are more reactive and do not accept high pigment loading dry to a glossy finish and tend to be more transparent. Heavy Body colors contain no additives, such as matting agents, therefore the gloss of each color will be different.
Heavy Body Acrylic Neutral Grays – A series of achromatic grays that follow the Munsell Value Scale. They allow artists to adjust value and chroma without altering hue.
Historical Heavy Body Acrylic Hues – Authentic recreations of colors that have been in use for hundreds of years and were considered essential to the working palettes of past masters.
Heavy Body Acrylic Iridescent and Interference – Familiar for their radiance, GOLDEN Iridescent Colors produce a luster by themselves, with other colors, or mixed with mediums. GOLDEN Interference Colors offer a unique “flip” when viewed from different perspectives.
Fluorescent Acrylic Colors – GOLDEN Fluorescent Colors are waterborne acrylic paints produced from polymer coated dyes, which offer incredibly bright colors. It is important for professional artists to realize that Fluorescent pigments are not light-fast.
Phosphorescent Green – Phosphorescent Green is based on a unique pigment that is characterized by its ability to absorb and store natural and artificial light and then emit it as a visible light when in the dark (glow in the dark).
Color Swatches – Use for reference only. If exact color matching is desired please use actual samples of the materials.
Warning – This line of artists grade acrylic colors contain some pigments, such as cadmium salts, that are toxic, and proper precautions should be taken when using these colors. Strictly follow all cautionary labels and warnings. Do not spray apply toxic colors.
